San Francisco I wrote about the great time Nick and I had in San Francisco in the "General Discussion" area, but Kristie suggested I add some comments here too (duh, why didn't I think of that?!).
We stayed at the Chancellor hotel in Union Square- only $65/night! I read reviews so I knew the room would be small and only 1 elevator was working while the other is being upgraded. The hotel room was just fine- very clean and had everything we needed (bed, bathroom, tv). We even got to take home a rubber ducky that was in the bathroom for us. The hotel had free cookies, coffee, apples 24 hrs/day. Everyone who worked there was so nice and helpful too.
We took a "Gray Line" tour which was fantastic. We saw so much in a short amount of time- Twin Peaks, Golden gate park, Japanese Garden, Fisherman's Wharf, etc. It was worth the $38.
Alcatraz was excellent, but you must include the audio tour or you won't know what's what. This was Nick's favorite place to visit while we were there.
We got some free chocolate in Ghiradelli Square- yummmm!
It was really a great trip! |
