Hello Everyone!

My husband just started his first job as a professional pilot today... so, you know, there's a lot of emotions! For as long as I can remember, he's wanted to be a pilot. He's working for a company that does mapping. He went from being a private pilot with only 80 hours in March, to getting his IFR, commercial, and multi-engine licenses with 350 hours by mid-July. (He did it on his own, in a small "mom & pop" flight school.) When he started flying in March, he hadn't flown in over 4 years... (We weren't together then, I knew that he wanted to be a pilot, so I gave him a gift certificate for flying time for Christmas. He just needed a little encouragement to get going again!)

I work as a Fire Services Dispatcher answering 911. I love to travel and study foreign languages for fun. My husband is from Brazil, and I am from WI. We met in 1996 in Hungary when we were both exchange students with AFS.

We live in in SoCal, with our dog, Lola... Well, sort of... Now he will be travelling all over The US.
