hey Roz! ........... Do you know much about unemployment benefits? My sister who works for The Sheraton Birmingham Hotel owned by Starwood had a meeting with her Director of Sales along with the HR Director, basicaly they are giving her until the 31st of Aug to book an additional 55,000 in sales (shes a catering sales manager) or she will loose her job. SHe said it sounds like an unrealistic goal because Aug is typically a slow month for sales. At any rate, she has been there over 5 years and she can NOT beleieve this is happening to her. If they give her the option to resign or take the termination, wont they HAVE to pay he unemployment benefits? Or does that vary state by state? If anyone else has anything else to add, please feel free. My sis is really needing some info! THanks everyone. |
