Default Name-change question...

Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you know if there is a sort of "statute of limitations" when it comes to changing your maiden name to your married name after the wedding. Does anyone know if this has to be done in a certain time frame?

Here's my problem: my fiance and I are planning to travel on his travel pass for our honeymoon. I will have to send the company our certified marriage certificate to be put on that. No problem there. The courthouse here has told me that my name will not be legally changed until I file for it to be done with Social Security. I'm wondering if I can just keep my maiden name until we get back from the honeymoon... and then change it with the company after I do so with all the government agencies. (Obviously, that part varies company to company.) Just wondering if anyone knew if you had to proceed with the name change in a certain amount of time...
