 It couldn't have worked out better!
DH got the transition class in Aug and DEN! In plain english, that means that he will upgrade from the smaller plane he's been flying since August and move from his current base of Palm Springs, CA to Denver. The pay will be significantly higher (the first year they pay the same regardless of aircraft but not after that) and going out of Denver means a single leg commute! Right now it's two to three legs. He always has to leave the day before he's scheduled to fly and sometimes wait until the next day to come home when he's done. We knew he'd be getting it soon but we were afraid that he'd get it for Oct when our new baby is due. Now, he should be completely done with training and settled by the time the stork arrives! FINALLY a break!
When he told me, I cried. What a relief this is and will be for our family. He told me things could only get better, but it was getting harder and harder to have faith in that.
