 New to this site
It's such a relief to read others thoughts and feelings about being married to a pilot. Some days it can be so trying to maintain a marriage with someone who is never home. I absolutely adore my husband and he does make so many efforts to stay in touch and get home when he has time off, but the day to day (like now we are finishing up a 7 day away stint) gets hard.
Regardless, it's validating that I'm not alone in the emotional rollercoaster and the endless attempt to balace my life when he's gone with the few days we get together a month. It's all so extreme right now...I can't wait until we are able to have more time and financial freedom--and also he can be doing what he loves--flying.
Anyway, this site is filled with insightful women and it's nice to have a place to talk about this way of living, because people not connected to this profession really don't get the ups and downs of it all...so thanks!
