[quote:88cbcf7b0d="momof5"]Short story behind the b-d bug: About 4 years ago we were in a pet store buying a small lizard. I saw the bug and mentioned that it would make a better pet because it is quiet, slow, and eats veggies. 5 months later they gave me the bug. I have learned to be very careful about what I say.[/quote:88cbcf7b0d] NO DOUBT! who would have thought they'd been listening that intently at exactly that time! hahahhaa

wow... that takes guts to bring a snake into the home! esp for a feminine girl when you want her to be learning about the friendly furry creatures and not the ones that can squeeze you to death! so have you learned how to manuver the thing in case it feels threatened by you? you should probably have a wildlife person come out to the house to show you all the way to handle it if it starts having a really bad day! they'd probably be glad to show you the proper way so that everyone stays safe, including the snake!!

hey - at least she's not into catching frogs and keeping a mosquito factory in an aquarium (I was into the microscoping algae stuff)... that's what i used to do for a summer when i was young (talk about tomboy/geeky! haha)...
