Yes I did. They did a quick strep test for strep A. It came back negative. They will send off another culture to the lab. Results will be back on Monday. Since I don't have actual symptoms of strep the doc said not to take the antibiotics unless the results on Mon are positive. He gave me the script to start if I end up with a sore throat over the weekend. He didn't want me taking antibiotics for a rash. He said that yes the rash may have the scarletina characteristic/appearance, but it doesn't mean that it is strep. He also said that I could have a rash that is a result of a viral infection and that it could be my body's inflammatory response. What do you think?
