i also had one of those books that showed girls going through different stages of puberty and talking about what would happen at each one. When I got my period the first time, i was way excited, for about a day. then it was gross, and the next month i went into my mom's cabinet and found the tampons and figured it out myself (with the help of said book!)

I <3 tampons and can't stand using pads unless i absolutely have to!
