But I can share what I know about this (which is very little!). My aunt (who is only 4 years older than me) had twins and they are almost 5 now. I was just back from college and wasn't really working yet so I spent a lot of time with her and helping her out. She had an u/s everymonth and while we never saw them "playing" together...we definately saw some pushing/shoving, etc. They were both around 7 lbs when they were born, so as you can imagine, there wasn't much room in there! One was up near her rib cage and the other was down near her opposite hip. The one on top was bigger and much more aggressive and that holds true today 5 years later! She was the one that always pushed her sister aside or kicked her out of the way, etc....
Once they were born, they didn't like to be apart from each other, they always wanted to be right on top of each other....I suppose it was a form of comfort and security for them. Anyway, I am by no means an expert, but I just wanted to share the limited experience I've had! :-D |
