Default Cooking Corn...

Another recipe from JC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the corn, just throw this thing in boiling water?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nooooooo!!!

Slowly step away from the big pot of boiling water and put the corn back on the counter.

*sigh* I'm too late.

Alright well next time, do this with the corn:

Peel back the husks, but don't remove them. Take off the silk and check for any bad spots etc.

Now, wrap the husks back around the corn and soak it in cold water for a few minues (like 2 or 3).

Now place it on the grill, although not the hottest spot.

What you have now is corn that will be steaming in its own juices. Also should get a nice smokey flavor since some of the husk will burn a bit, but make sure it doesn't get torched.

Another way to do the corn is to shuck it, brush will a little olive oil and salt (kosher is a good choice corse sea salt is a good choice also, but crush it up a bit) and roast it right on the grill.

Memorize the following: "Everything can be cooked on the grill" or if you're camping: "Everything can be cooked in a dutch oven".
