 coolest thing ever!
So as most of you guys know, I work in the research area of organ transplant and yesterday I had the opportunity to watch an organ recovery. It was by far one of the coolest things I think I've ever seen. It was really neat to see how everything was set up and then dissected apart, and then how all the organs were perfused until they would be able to be transplanted into the recipient.
It's amazing watching the organs being prepped and knowing that so many people's lives will be changed because of this one person. It's an incredibly selfless act, and yet does so much good. I have to urge all of you to be organ donors and to make your wishes known to your families.
