Heather,

I respect where you are coming from and agree... to a point. We all need perspective and that is what you provided. Some people have it worse, some better. I don't like it when my husband is gone but that is the life we have choosen and it isn't healthy or beneficial to always question that and complain.

On the other hand... sometimes I find it easier when my husband is gone for longer stretches. I get into a routine with my kids and we do just fine but when he comes home it can mess with my schedule and I really have to try to just go with it. Then we start all over again when he leaves. When he is coming and going more frequently it makes it really hard to have a "normal" life. I would miss him terribly if he was gone for 6 months but in some ways that would be easier than what we do now.

Like I said, it is all about perspective and we need to learn to work with and appreciate what we have.
