geez, you have absolutely no time to study up on those two subjects - or have you taught them in the past to 7th graders?
dh has a question for you, since you'll be teaching social studies.. are you actually limited by what you teach/how you teach it and told to teach the students certain items while leaving other certain historics out of it? the reason he asks is because he's been doing all of this historical reading (both WWI, WWII and American History) and noticing a lot of the kids coming out of school aren't aware of that knowledge or maybe they just don't retain it?
Congratulations on the new job!! so, were you waiting more for the 2nd job or the one you took the offer from? I figured you'd get picked up here pretty soon... they can't even find enough teachers out here so i couldn't imagine you NOT being selected for something! |
